Facebook is Getting a Little Personal

I recently became friends with someone on Facebook that I just met. We were at the same event this weekend and requested each other on Facebook. I was looking at my profile and realized that it said that I was friends with him because we attended the same event. I don't think this should be put out to the public in any ways. I feel as if it is an invasion in my personal life. I don't want people knowing where I was, who I met there. I don't think anyone one. I don't know, I just feel Facebook is getting a little out of hand with everything. It's starting to feel like its going on the Myspace route. I don't want to go through that again.

  1. Facebook is getting way to personal! The amount of information that it knows about us is ridiculous, and even when we have "privacy" settings up it does not protect our information from much. For example if you restrict all of your information, nobody can see it on your profile. Loophole: your friend is not restricted therefore via games and other applications we agree to use on facebook, your information can be leaked from your friends profile. The loopholes are endless.

FACEBOOK ALERT: As of today(January 7, 2011), New Privacy setting called "Instant Personalization" go into effect. The new settings shares data with non-Facebook websites & it is automatically set to "Enabled". Go to Account>Privacy Settings>Applications & Websites>Instant Personalization>Edit Settings & uncheck "Enable". BTW If your friends don't do this, they will be sharing information about you as well.
